Non-woven spunlace wipes are very valuable to businesses across the country and around the world. In fact, industries including industrial cleaning, automotive and printing are just a few of the industries that use this product in their day-to-day operations.

Learn about non-woven spunlace wipes

Spunlace wipes are unique in their composition and structure. They are made of "spunlace nonwoven". To explain, this is actually a collection of fabrics made using a process (invented by DuPont in the 1970s, also known as spunlace) that combines rows of high-powered water jets to Fibers "tie" (or tangle) together, hence the name spunlace.

Several different fibers can be used in the spunlace process, but for wipes, wood pulp and polyester are the most popular. When these fibers are tied together, the high-powered water jet technology provides great strength to the fabric in both directions without the use of adhesives or glues.

Additionally, spunlace fabrics are lighter in weight compared to most woven fabrics. Woven fabrics range in weight from 4 to 8 ounces per pound, while spunlace fabrics are enhanced in strength and absorbency from 1.6 to 2.2 ounces per pound. The benefit to you (the end user) is that the wipe manufacturer that uses the spunlace fabric gives you more wipes per pound.
