In 2020, China's non-woven industry reversed the dilemma of weak industry growth in the past, and achieved large-scale growth with the help of new demand under the background of epidemic situation. The data show that in 2020, the output of China's large-scale nonwovens enterprises will reach 5.791 million tons, and the total profit will increase to 24.52 billion yuan. From the perspective of prosperity in various fields of the industry, the prosperity in the fields of medical and health, safety protection, filtration and separation, nonwoven coiled materials, equipment and accessories is high, among which the prosperity index in the field of medical and health engaged in the production of anti epidemic materials reaches 85.9; The prosperity index of rope net, thread belt, lining cloth and other fields is relatively low. There are many categories in the non-woven fabric industry. The production equipment and processes required by different categories are different, and the applied market segments are also different. The homogeneity of similar products is strong. In particular, a large number of production capacity will enter the non-woven fabric industry in 2020, so the competition pattern of the industry will be more scattered.

Nonwoven fabrics occupy a large market share with disposable products, such as sanitary napkins, diapers, facial mask, wet paper towel, surgical gown, medical accessories, agricultural films, fruit flower packaging cloth, etc. are all disposable items, and the consumption is very large. At present, these products basically use PP and PE petroleum based polymer materials. Because its waste is difficult to degrade, it has caused serious white pollution and great pressure on environmental protection. In recent years, the United States, the European Union, Japan and other developed countries have successively issued relevant plastic restriction orders, legislating to prohibit the use of petrochemical polymers for disposable products, and China has officially implemented the plastic restriction order in 2020. Therefore, the substitution space of non-woven fabrics in the field of plastic products will be further expanded.
