The Factors Affecting the Growth Rate of Non-woven Fabrics

The commercial development of man-made fiber and the professional application of non-woven fabric: due to the establishment of international economic treaties, the trade of micro fiber, composite fiber, biodegradable fiber and new polyester fiber has increased. This has a great influence on non-woven fabrics, but not on apparel and knitted textiles. Instead of textiles and other items, this includes the substitution of non-woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, plastic films, polyurea foam, wood pulp, leather and so on. This is determined by the cost and performance requirements of the product. The introduction of new and more economic and more effective production processes: the production of various articles from polymers, the application of competitive new non-woven fabrics and the introduction of special fibers and non-woven textile additives.                

The three major fibers used in non-woven fabric production are polypropylene fiber (62%), polyester fiber (24%) and viscose fiber (8%). From 1970 to 1985, viscose fiber was widely used in the production of non-woven fabrics. From 2000 to 2005, the application of polypropylene fiber and polyester fiber began to dominate in the field of health absorbing materials and medical textiles. In the early non-woven production market, the amount of nylon is very large. Since 1998, the amount of acrylic fiber has increased, especially in the field of artificial leather manufacturing.                

There are many large-scale projects in China's construction, such as the Three Gorges project, Xiaolangdi project, environmental protection project, western development, infrastructure construction, etc., which will greatly promote the consumption of geotextiles, filter materials, waterproof materials and packaging materials. In addition, the increase of domestic consumers' income will also boost the consumption of all kinds of health absorbent products, air filter materials, medical and health products and labor protection stationery and sports products. Therefore, China's non-woven fabric industry has great growth potential in the future.
